Barcelona – November 14, 2024.

The Committee on Accreditation of the College of American Pathologists (CAP) has granted accreditation to ADmit Therapeutics, Barcelona, based on the results of the recent on-site inspection conducted as part of CAP’s Accreditation Programmes.

The director of the laboratory, Dr. Marta Blanch was notified of this national recognition and congratulated for the excellence of the services provided. ADmit Therapeutics is one of more than 8,000 CAP-accredited centers worldwide.

“With CAP accreditation, we ensure that our laboratory achieves the highest quality standards. This achievement not only validates our commitment to advancing scientific research, but also ensures the accuracy and credibility of our services for the prognosis of progression to Alzheimer’s dementia in patients with mild cognitive impairment,” said Dr. Marta Blanch.

Dr. Marta Barrachina, CEO of the company, after learning of the awarding of the accreditation, said: “This accreditation verifies the accuracy and credibility of our analysis process and demonstrates the enormous effort made by our team. I would like to highlight the excellent work of our quality manager, Victor Fuentes, and our laboratory manager, Marta Blanch. We are proud to become the first CAP-accredited laboratory in Spain“.

El gobierno federal de los Estados Unidos reconoce que el Programa de Acreditación de CAP de laboratorios, que se inició a principios de los años ´60s, es igual o incluso más estricto que el propio programa de inspección gubernamental.

During the CAP accreditation process, designed to ensure the highest possible standard of care for all patients in the laboratory, surveyors examine the laboratory’s records and quality control procedures for the previous two years. CAP surveyors also examine the qualifications of the laboratory’s personnel, equipment, facilities, safety and record-keeping program, and overall laboratory management.
