MAP-AD®: A Novel Blood-Based Prognostic Test
| MAP-AD® is a CE-IVDR certified qualitative in vitro diagnostic test designed to provide a prognosis of progression from Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) to dementia due to Alzheimer’s disease in adults aged 55 to 85 years. |
MAP-AD® provides a holistic physiological view by AI-machine learning analysis of specific epigenetic modifications (specifically mitochondrial DNA methylation patterns), genetic risk background (ApoE genotyping), age and neuropsychological status of the patient (CDR-SOB test).
Mitochondrial dysfunction, oxidative stress, and epigenetic remodeling reflect systemic biological distress closely linked to neurodegeneration. By measuring these dynamic epigenetic signatures along with the others patient data, MAP-AD® captures the systemic, multifactorial nature of AD, providing a comprehensive evaluation of disease activity rather than relying solely on protein deposition.
