Barcelona (Spain), October 21, 2026. Faced with Alzheimer’s disease, a pathology that deeply affects not only those living with it, but also their families and loved ones, early clarity and personal, compassionate, and close orientation are essential. ViaCare, a leading comprehensive private medical center in Madrid belonging to the Viamed Salud Group, and ADmit Therapeutics, a Spanish biotechnology company specializing in precision medicine for neurodegenerative diseases, have officially signed an agreement to incorporate advanced diagnostic tools into precision neurological care for the prevention of dementia in Alzheimer’s disease.

ViaCare stands out for combining cutting-edge medicine, state-of-the-art technology, and a dedicated, patient-centered approach. ViaCare offers comprehensive healthcare services ranging from aesthetic medicine, urology, digestive health, and pain management to advanced neurology. This collaboration with ADmit Therapeutics specifically boosts its Neurology Unit by integrating specialized diagnostics into its multidisciplinary care model.

With this initiative, ViaCare ensures that patients experiencing cognitive changes receive clear, coordinated, and humane clinical support, incorporating the MAP-AD® developed by ADmit Therapeutics. MAP-AD® recently obtained the prestigious CE-IVDR certification in Europe, along with CAP accreditation and CLIA certification in the United States, validating MAP-AD®as an early and highly reliable in vitro prognostic/diagnostic tool.

The alliance between ViaCare and ADmit Therapeutics is establishing a new standard in personalized medicine by shifting the paradigm toward early, tailored intervention for each patient. It reinforces a shared commitment to improving clinical outcomes while placing patients and their families at the center of every stage of the care process.

MAP-AD®: A New Blood-Based Prognostic Test

MAP-AD® is a qualitative in vitro diagnostic test with CE-IVDR certification designed to provide a prognosis of progression from Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) to dementia due to Alzheimer’s disease in adults aged 55 to 85.

MAP-AD® utilizes advanced artificial intelligence algorithms to evaluate primary biological and clinical markers, integrating blood mitochondrial DNA methylation patterns with genetic risk factors such as the ApoE genotype, current cognitive status, and age, to predict the progression from mild cognitive impairment to dementia due to Alzheimer’s disease. Importantly, the MAP-AD® approach is based on biomarkers independent of β-amyloid and tau protein status, offering a distinct and complementary perspective on the biological processes associated with progression to Alzheimer’s dementia.
